Piz Grialetsch

With two friends we set out on a two day trip originally planning to summit Piz Grialetsch and afterwards Scalettahorn. However, sometimes in the mountains plans have to change. We climbed close to 5m below the summit of Piz Grialetsch but the large snow shelf and loose stones right below the snow surface the group decided to not risk climbing up and over. Avalanche and old snow conditions made for a shortened trip and change of plan. Scalettahorn was not summited, but the fresh snow and no tracks on the Grialetsch glacier still made for an excellent ride down.
